  • You may feel a light prickling or warming sensation as the laser passes over the skin. Most clients find MOXI® very tolerable, especially with the topical numbing applied before treatment.

  • Immediately after, you may notice mild warmth and pinkness, similar to a light sunburn. This typically lasts 12–24 hours. Over the next few days, your skin may feel slightly rough or “sandpapery.” As this texture resolves, your skin will reveal a fresher, more radiant tone.

  • For preventive care or light rejuvenation, many clients start with a series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance 1–2 times per year. Your provider will customize your plan based on your skin’s needs and goals.

  • You will continue to feel warmth on your laser-treated skin for 12-24 hours after the treatment. Cold compresses may provide comfort during this time. Also, a mineral water spray might provide some relief and much-needed moisture to the skin. Immediately after your treatment, your skin will appear pink and feel warm to the touch. It may feel like you have a sunburn for the rest of the day. Over the next few days, you will experience some temporary roughness on the skin. But once those first days are through, you will gradually see fresher, healthier-looking skin begin to surface.

  • Yes, you can! In our special Combination Therapy treatment, MOXI is commonly combined with BBL (Broadband Light Treatment) for outstanding results. As the MOXI treatment improves the texture and firmness of the skin, BBL evens-out unwanted reds and browns for a complete resurfacing makeover.

  • We can adjust the treatment based on your skin type, goals, and lifestyle downtime:

    •  Level 1 (5% density): Gentle “prejuvenation” for a subtle refresh.

    • Level 2 (10% density): Light correction for early signs of aging or pigmentation.

    • Level 3 (15% density): A stronger option for more noticeable texture or tone concerns.

HALO® FAQ

  • The non-ablative laser creates precisely targeted micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the production of collagen and elastin. This helps jump start the body’s own natural healing mechanisms. Simultaneously, the ablative laser removes the outermost layers of aged or sun-damaged skin.

    Treatments can be customized to meet the individual patient’s needs. Some may choose to undergo one or two in-depth sessions, while others may choose to receive several, more superficial treatments over a period of time.

  • For those with signs of aging or sun damage, Halo laser treatments can help address these common aesthetic concerns:

    • Fine lines

    • Wrinkles

    • Age spots and pigmentation issues

    • Large pores

    • Uneven skin texture

    • Halo treatments can also be used by younger patients to reduce the effects of accumulated sun damage and delay the signs of aging.

  • The topical numbing cream ensures that patients experience very little discomfort. While some report a sense of warmth or prickling — similar to the feeling of a sunburn — Sciton has also integrated a cooling mechanism into the device the alleviate these effects.

    In rare cases, the treatment may cause a slight pain, which some describe as similar to being flicked with an elastic band.

  • Immediately following treatment, patients will continue to feel a warm sensation in the treated area.

    This will fade over the following hours.

    While normal activities can be resumed immediately following the procedure, the treated area will begin to peel, causing it to appear pink and dry for two to five days. Makeup must be avoided for the first 24 hours, but can easily cover up any signs of the procedure during the rest of the healing process.

    Results will begin to be visible three to four days following the procedure, and will be fully visible one to three weeks after.

  • Your skin will always look better than it would have if you had you never undergone a single treatment.

    However, the Halo laser cannot stop the march of time.

    New and returning signs of aging will appear gradually. It is always important to take the appropriate measures to protect your skin from the sun as this will minimize any future damage.

    Maintenance Halo laser treatments are recommended in one-year intervals following your initial treatment.

  • Sciton's NanoLaserPeel and MicroLaserPeel are erbium laser treatments that resurface the skin by removing thin, damaged outer layers to improve texture, tone, fine lines, wrinkles, and sun spots, offering customizable depth for light resurfacing (Nano) or deeper renewal (Micro) with minimal downtime, often called "weekend peels" for quick recovery.

  • They work by vaporizing old cells to reveal brighter, smoother skin underneath, with the Nano being a very superficial "lunchtime" peel and the Micro offering more dramatic results with slightly longer recovery, both providing radiant skin with fast treatment times.

  • NanoLaserPeel (Superficial)

    Best For: Dullness, fine lines, dry skin, quick refresh.

    Depth: Removes the topmost layer (around 4 microns).

    Downtime: Very minimal (1-3 hours), often done on a Friday to be back to work Monday. However, this can vary person to person.

    Feel: Mild redness like sunburn.

    MicroLaserPeel (Medium-Depth)

    Best For: Sun damage, rough texture, larger pores, more pronounced imperfections.

    Depth: Deeper than Nano, removing more damaged skin.

    Downtime: Moderate, more than Nano, but still relatively short. Approximately 7 to 10 days.
